Because of them, I survived
I was raised by a village of empowered women who were single, married, divorced, or widowed. Women that had their share of being physically abused, mentally abused, verbally abused, ridiculed, or struggles with addictions and yet they remained strong. At a young age I did not see any of these labels. I saw mom, aunt, and sister who were conquerors. Ladies that were bold, beautiful, driven, and fierce. I was taught by them, what don't kill you will make you stronger. Because of their life lessons and traumas, I am the woman I am today. I stand proud to be a product of my villiage.
I am a survivor because I was raised by survivors.
Survival is apart of my DNA.
