How It All Began
Every path begins with a starting point, and some are divinely appointed.
For me, my walk began with my Aunt, Thomasina Williams. As a child, I never knew she was battling. I only remember a woman who rose each day and lived fully. It wasn't until later that I learned she had been a breast cancer survivor, and that revelation awakened something deep within me. I felt a mixture of emotions: sorrow for not knowing sooner, a longing to have encouraged her in some way, and a resolve that her strength would not be forgotten.
Although we never had the opportunity to experience what I now call a Sacred Exchange, her life quietly exchanged something with mine. Through her resilience, she passed forward a legacy of courage that would one day become the foundation of my own purpose. In her honor, my sister and I organized a Breast Cancer Awareness Walk, a milestone that planted the seed of what would later become Thee Blueprint Collective—my legacy.
Years later, life created another significant turning point with my Aunt Nancy, whom we affectionately called Granny. This time, I was no longer a child. I was an adult, carrying the memory of what I could not do for Aunt Thomasina. With Granny, I was determined to show up fully.
We shared our own comedic language, watched black-and-white television shows, and laughed often. It was during those quiet moments—when I sat beside her as she slept, and she awakened to find me still there—that I experienced one of my first true Sacred Exchanges. Nothing extraordinary was spoken, yet everything meaningful was understood. Presence became the conversation. Love became the language. More than anything, I wanted her to know she was not alone and that she did not have to walk this journey by herself.
Now, I carry those lessons forward as the primary caregiver for my grandmother, Mary B. Williams, who remains a wellspring of wisdom and grace. Though her journey is not defined by illness, caring for her each day is an absolute honor. Picking out her clothes, preparing her meals, rubbing her feet, and sharing life's ordinary moments have become our own ongoing Sacred Exchange. Every treasured moment we spend together deepens my understanding of love, patience, compassion, service, and the quiet power of simply being present.
From Thomasina, I learned what it means to remember—to honor the past and carry its lessons with grace.
From Nancy, I learned what it means to be present—to witness each moment fully and with an open heart.
From my grandmother, I continue to learn what it means to serve—to give without expectation and to love without measure.
Together, these women taught me that a Sacred Exchange is not defined by grand gestures or perfect words. It is created whenever one life gently touches another with presence, compassion, and lived wisdom.
Guided by these lessons, I now walk beside women as a sacred companion—offering the same gift that was first given to me through the remarkable women in my own life. Through every Sacred Exchange, I strive to be a light, a steady presence, and a woven frequency that quietly stirs something within another woman, awakening an undeniable current that transforms pain into purpose, purpose into leadership, and leadership into a legacy that continues long after our paths have crossed.
